Beaches
The well-known island of Skiathos, has been awarded numerous prizes for it’s crystal clear waters and wide beaches.
The island has more than 60 beaches, some of which are awarded with the blue flag from the European community. It’s a small paradise for people who love the sea and the sun. All the southern beaches are well organized with parasols & sun beds, small beach bars where you can find light dishes and refreshments, or traditional tavernas on the edge of the sea. 
The beaches on the north side are associated with the history of the island like "Kastro" beach which is located just under the old town of the island, or "Lalaria" beach with the white pebbles and the caves where a hole myth still haunts the island.

Wetland Habitat
Lake Strofilia, is located in the southern area of Skiathos, just across Koukounaries beach. It is a magical landscape on which you can enjoy the beauty and calmness of nature. Many environmental European programs are based on the wetland habitat, as place of high ecological importance.

Monastery
The holy Abbey of Eyaggelistria, is one of the most old monasteries and is worth visiting. Built in 1792 and is located in the north east area of the island.

Churches
Many orthodox, graphical churches exist in the island. You can always visit: Panagia Eikonistria, Three Hierarches, Panagia Limnia, Panagia kexria..

Architecture
Taking a ride to the graphical alleys of the city, you can enjoy the neoclassic buildings, the white house's with their deep green gardens.
